CAILYNN WYNN, LPC

Cailynn Wynn (pronouns: she/her) is an experienced licensed professional counselor who works with adolescents and adults. Her specialty interests include: anxiety, depression, girls’ and women’s issues, family conflict, racial identity, and self-esteem. She utilizes treatment approaches that are evidence-based and uniquely tailored to each client.

Cailynn completed her education in her hometown at The University of Akron, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She continued her advanced education at The University of Akron and earned a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling, including some specialized coursework in marriage and family therapy and trauma. Cailynn sees herself as a “forever student” and looks forward to lifetime learning both in and outside of the world of mental health and wellness.

Prior to joining Wellness Grove, Cailynn has worked in various settings in the mental health field that have allowed her to provide support and resources to survivors of sexual and physical assault, as well as underprivileged children and families. Over the last 10 years, Cailynn has volunteered and worked in roles such as: advocate, case manager, assistant, and counselor in school, home, and community locations.

Cailynn is passionate about providing a safe place to her clients to grow and learn from their own experiences. Cailynn’s approach to counseling is trauma-informed, person-centered and strengths-based, hoping to empower clients to make the change they want to see. In addition to being a non-judgmental, compassionate, and active listener she is a collaborative and finds it important to maintain trust and rapport within the relationship between her clients and herself.

Her strengths include: kindness, humor, love of learning, empathy, and authenticity.
