CONTACT INFO

A counselor trainee (CT) is a graduate counseling student seeking licensure as a professional counselor. Counselor Trainees have the same scope of practice as a professional counselor, but require much closer supervision during the training process.

Bryn Elliott (pronouns: she/her) is a counselor trainee who works with children, adults, and couples. Her specialty interests include: adjustment and life transitions, coping skills, relationship issues, self-esteem, and substance use. She utilizes treatment approaches that are both evidence-based and specific for each individual client.

Bryn completed her advanced education at Walsh University, earning a dual bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology. She is currently a master’s student at her alma mater completing a degree in clinical mental health counseling. She enjoys furthering her education to ensure the best care for her clients.

Prior to private practice, Bryn has worked with diverse individuals in both educational and community settings. She began as a paraprofessional in a specialized school for children with autism, where she developed skills in behavioral support, individualized learning, and fostering communication.

In addition to her work in education, she played and coached softball at the collegiate level. This experience strengthened her leadership, teamwork, and resilience qualities she now brings to her counseling practice. These unique opportunities have shaped her collaborative, client-centered approach and deepened her passion for helping others achieve growth and promote their well-being.

Bryn’s approach to counseling is collaborative, strength-based, and rooted in empathy. She believes that meaningful change grows from a trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. Drawing on her experience in both educational and team environments, she fosters resilience and self-confidence while helping clients develop practical tools for their goals. She incorporates psychoeducation, problem-solving, and unconditional positive regard in sessions.

Her strengths include: a joyful outlook, a warm sense of humor, empathy, positivity, passion for her work, and an unwavering willingness to help others.
